Need for Mentoring: Struggling with Networking class
Mentor: Chris Murray
Why: I Selected Chris as a mentor because he knows what he is doing with the particular course, and he is kind and easy to get along with.
Relationship: We are class mates that I have met through taking certain courses in the CIS field.
Goals: My goal through this mentoring relationship is to learn how to focus more in the class and how to succeed with the material being taught.
Knowledge of Progress: I will know im making progress by doing better in the class and by being able to focus more in class.
How often to Meet: I will and have been meeting with my mentor once a week.
Celebrate Growth: I will celebrate by giving him thanks for his help.
Final Success: I will celebrate final success by achieving in the class and passing the course needed.
In the end: I will end the mentoring relationship by thanking Chris for all of his help, and understanding that without his help I probably would have not succeeded like I needed.

Experience 4: Self Assessment
My two greatest strengths:
1.Kindness; I am generally kind to people and do whatever it takes to get along with them on a personal level.
2.Caring; I tend to have the biggest heart and try to help people out way more than a human should.
My two areas for improvement:
1.Shyness; Though I'm kind and caring, I tend to struggle to meet new people.
-Short term plan: My short term plan is to make an extra effort to meet new people.
-Long term plan: My long term plan is to be able to freely talk to new people without any sign of being shy.
2. Self Confidence; I tend to not be self-confident in myself and lack fear the worst because I feel I'm not good enough.
-Short term plan: My short term plan is to take small steps to being more Self-Confident such as trying to not feel I'm not good at something.
-Long term plan: My long term plan is to be able to have very little to no struggle with Self-Confidence holding me back from the fun on life.
Insights about my Performance:
With my strengths I am on a good performance path, however if I take the time and the effort to correct my areas for improvement then I feel I will be on a completely top-notch performance track.

Blog #3; Problem
Problem:
A current problem I continually face would be my procrastination.
1)Five Characteristics of the problem.
Five characteristics of this problem would be that 1. I'm easily distracted by everything, 2. I put a lot of other things in front of what should be done first, 3. I feel like I'm missing out on life if I sit down to do something, 4. after putting it off so long I feel rushed, and 5. I struggle with the work under pressure.
2)Three strengths to help address the problem.
Three strengths that I have that can help address the problem would be 1. I know when things need to be done, 2. I should do it so it does stress me out after, and 3. getting it done early will allow me to have free time with out the worry of things.
3)Barriers that prevent from addressing the problem.
The barriers that prevent me from addressing the problem would be life, I find everything else more important rather then what should be being done.
4)Who can you use as a sound barrier.
I don't really have anyone to use as a sound barrier to my problems because I start to get frustrated at people when I feel they are nagging at me to do something.
5)Real barrier that keeps you from solving the problem.
The real barrier that keeps me from solving the problem like stated above is life because everything else seems to take presidency over everything else.
6)What are you going to do to address these barriers?
To address the barriers I need to start putting what needs to be done in front of my own personal pleasure.
7)Has your feeling about the future changed?
Since identifying a way to begin addressing my problem my feeling about my future hasn't changed, because though I know what I need to do I don't feel I will end up applying it to help myself.
8)What the problem has to do with my identity.
This problem shows that I rank things in life differently than I should.
9)What has the problem done to my self-efficacy.
This problem creates me to not do as well as I am capable of doing because I put things off to the last minute.
10)What the problem has to do with my effective skill set.
This problem shows that I can tend to not be as effective as I should be because I put it off and end up doing it under the stress of the deadline.

Personal Blog 2: My life plan.
At this point in time I am the typical 20 year old college student who is completely unsure of what I want to do with my life. My current plan is to graduate with my associates in Computer Information Systems and then move on to get a Bachelors in Management. Once I graduate I would like to earn a general office job.I currently work as a student worker in SUNY Canton's admissions office doing various tasks. After graduation I would like to start a career as an admissions counselor. Though I would like to start a career as an admissions counselor, I know that it is not a forever job. I do not know what I would like to move into after getting steady in that kind of position. I ultimately would love to continue having a good paying job to provide for myself and my future family with what I couldn't always have growing up.

Experience 1 Blog 1
Experience 1
4. The aspect from the Theory of Performance I am strongest in would be social interactions because I enjoy talking to people and interacting with individuals.
5.The aspect from the Theory of Performance I am weakest in would be attitude because though i enjoy interacting with others I can tend to have an attitude with them.
6. The strength of my identity is critical to my belief in my own success in college because if i don't identify myself or feel confident in myself then my work will show it and will be weaker then it should be.
7. The strategy I used to analyze the performance of the honor student in the model is processing information because I took the information in and processed it to understand it.
